Poignant Munster victory caps perfect weekend for Irish rugby

So much for being undercooked. Unlike the first round of the URC a month ago, all four Irish provinces won on the opening weekend of the European competitions for the first time in five seasons.

Despite only welcoming back nine frontliners a week previously, Leinster set the tone with an impressive 43-23 bonus-point win away to old foes Clermont on Saturday. At the same time Ulster were completing a 40-21 bonus-point win in the Challenge Cup away to Zebre Parma.
