Pochettino '100 per cent' confident both he and Mbappe will be at PSG next season

Paris Saint-Germain manager Mauricio Pochettino said on Thursday he was "100 per cent” sure both he and star striker Kylian Mbappe will remain at the club.

There has been intense speculation over the future of Mbappe, with the Frenchman having long been linked with a move to Real Madrid. His PSG contract expires at the end of June.

Meanwhile, Pochettino – who took over at PSG last summer – saw the club regain the Ligue 1 title but suffered another meltdown in the Champions League, this time against Real Madrid.

Asked about what the chances were that he and Mbappe will be at the club next season, Pochettino replied: "100 per cent in both cases".

"That's what I can perceive, feel today. In football, you can expect a lot of things but that's what I feel today,” said the Argentinian.

Pochettino is under contract until 2023 but PSG sporting director Leonardo was less than reassuring when he said on Saturday that he wanted to "speak with everyone, not only with the coach but also the players, to clarify situations and decide on the strategy".

Tottenham manager Antonio Conte has been strongly linked with taking over from Pochettino at Parc Des Princes in the French media this week.

Reports in France have stated that PSG have offered Mbappe huge sums of money, but that the 23-year-old has still not made a decision.
