PM Modi Meets Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma After Cricket World Cup Final Loss. Mumbai Indians Write: "We Win..."

PM Narendra Modi was among the many dignitaries present for the Cricket World Cup 2023 final in Ahmedabad on Sunday. He was also present at the presentation ceremony and gave the ODI Cricket World Cup trophy to Australia's winning captain Pat Cummins. Later, he went and met the Indian cricket team in the dressing room. The images from the meeting has gone viral on social media. The ODI Cricket World Cup 2023's top wicket-taker, Mohammed Shami expressed gratitude towards fans for their support throughout the tournament and thanked PM Narendra Modi for meeting players in the dressing room. Even Ravindra Jadeja expressed his gratitude towards PM Narendra Modi.

PM Modi also met Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma. Mumbai Indians posted an image of the meeting on Instagram and wrote: "Indian Cricket Team gave us many reasons to celebrate during the entire tournament. India cheered every run. India celebrated every wicket. Whether we win or lose, we are in it #OneFamily #MumbaiIndians #CWC23"

Having an unbeaten run throughout the tournament till the final, India came so close to clinching their third World Cup crown, however, Travis Head stood tall between Men in Blue's victory and starred with the bat, hitting an inspired century to win Australia's men their sixth ICC Cricket World Cup crown.

A billion Indian hearts were broken on Sunday, but none more than the 11 players who gave their all on the field to reach the final after competing fiercely in the tournament for more than a month. Even though India did not win the 2023 World Cup at home, the way they performed throughout the competition was nothing short of an extraordinary dream for the billions of Indian supporters.
