Plateau NUJ revives monthly walking exercise

To create lasting bond and fraternity among members, the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Plateau State Council, has resuscitated its monthly walk.

The walk holds every first Saturday of the month, with all members expected to troop out en masse for the exercise, which usually begins from the NUJ Press Centre, Jos, to the Secretariat Round About and back to the Centre.

Saturday’s edition of the two-kilometre monthly walking and jogging exercise saw NUJ members and other fitness enthusiasts dancing and doing aerobics within the Press Centre on return to the premises.

With rhythmic music provided by a professional, Innocent Jonathan, who also took participants through different form of exercises for more than two and a half hours, members thanked the union for providing them the avenue to keep fit.
