Plan your weekend! Times confirmed for SA's pool stage fixtures at Cape Town Sevens

The Blitzboks will have to summon a similar type of resolve to what they showed in Dubai last week after being handed another mouthwatering if challenging pool for this weekend's Cape Town Sevens.

After claiming victories over Canada, Samoa and New Zealand in the UAE, the latter two proving particularly satisfying after suspect results against them recently, Sandile Ngcobo's troops will come up against Great Britian, USA and Ireland on Saturday's opening day.

South Africa open their campaign at 10:50 against the Great Britain, who are a composite outfit for the season in preparation for next year's Paris Olympics, before coming up against the canny and dangerous Americans just after 14:00.

They'll then conclude the day's action at 19:34 when they take on Ireland, an incentive for a bumper expected crowd to stay on.

Meanwhile, the Springbok Women's Sevens team have been pooled with France, Canada and the USA.

Overall, the women's action commences at 09:00, with two matches between Ireland and Brazil, as well as New Zealand and Great Britain as some of the matches take place simultaneously at Hamilton’s Rugby Football Club, adjacent to Cape Town Stadium.

Their male counterparts' tournament starts at 10:06, with matches between Samoa, who will be defending their title, and Australia, as well as New Zealand and Canada.
