Pitso Mosimane back in the job market as Al-Wahda terminate contract

United Arab Emirate Pro League side Al-Wahda have officially parted ways with Pitso Mosimane, the club announced on Friday. 

"Al-Wahda terminates its contract with Pitso Mosimane by mutual consent,” a club statement read.

"Al-Wahda Football Club Company announces that it has reached an agreement with South African technical director Pitso Mosimane to terminate the contract by mutual consent between the two parties."

Just last week, reports from the UAE highlighted that Pitso Mosimane experienced a sudden illness, leading to an urgent hospitalisation for treatment.

Now, after a brief four-month stint with Al-Wahda, Mosimane finds himself back in the job market following his departure from the United Arab Pro League side.

Mosimane joined Al-Wahda in June 2023, just a few days after parting ways with Al Ahli Saudi.

The four-time UAE Pro League champions had high hopes that Mosimane, with his extensive experience, would lead the side to success.

The 59-year-old mentor was thrilled to join the UAE Pro League outfit along with his regular technical team, which included Maahier Davids, Kabelo Rangoaga, Musi Matlaba, Kyle Solomon and Hamad Alyami.

Despite the initial optimism, Mosimane's tenure at Al-Wahda has come to an unexpected end after just 10 matches in charge, where he won six games and suffered four defeats.
