Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang left out of Arsenal's mid-season trip to Dubai

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has been left out of Arsenal’s mid-season trip to Dubai as the club attempt to offload him before the transfer window shuts.

Aubameyang has been informed he must remain in London and continue to train on his own, even though Jack Wilshere, who is not contracted to the club, is expected to travel with Arsenal to Dubai.

Gabon international Aubameyang remains resolute in his determination that he will not be forced to Saudi Arabia by the Premier League club, who must now consider loan offers from European clubs.

But Aubameyang’s value will plummet even further now Arsenal have left him out of the Dubai trip, meaning the club are unlikely to receive a loan fee and may have to part fund his wages that are worth up to £350,000-a-week.

Top of Arteta’s agenda is believed to have been how much Arsenal are willing to spend on a new striker in the final days of the window after Juventus jumped ahead of the Arsenal in the race for Fiorentina star Dusan Vlahovic.

Arteta and Arsenal could also face disappointment over Alexander Isak, who is believed to hold reservations over moving to north London this month and whose club Real Sociedad would want his £76million
