The 2022 Comrades Marathon had its thrills and spills, along with the emotions and the odd unfortunate tragedy.

Tete Dijana and Alexandra Morozova were the deserving winners of their respective races, with Jenna Challenor providing a proper Comrades Marathon moment when she crawled over the line to finish fourth.

The race also experienced an unfortunate tragedy where Mzamo Mthembu passed away when he collapsed in Pinetown after experiencing complications while on the route.

The Comrades, though, has always been a festive gathering that's showcased the pleasure and pain of what is the world's largest ultra-marathon.
