Picture of car released after girls, 13 and 16, gunned down in drive-by shooting
Police have issued a fresh appeal after two girls were shot outside a party in Moss Side.
The victims - aged 13 and 16 - were both taken to hospital after being injured in the drive-by shooting on Quinney Crescent on July 29. Both suffered injuries believe to have been caused by shrapnel from the firearm.
Police previously said the incident was being treated as attempted murder. Detectives believe the girls - who are now recovering at home - were not the intended target, but were shot at outside a party at a house where a 'family were coming together to celebrate a loved one who passed away'.

In a renewed appeal issued today (September 7), officers released a picture of a car that is a 'vehicle of interest'. Anyone who saw a dark-coloured SUV-type vehicle in the area on the night is being urged to come forward.
Anyone with dash-cam or doorbell footage, taken between around 10pm and 11pm, is also being urged to get in touch with detectives as they try to track down those responsible. Detective Inspector Madeline Kelly of Xcalibre Task Force said: "This incident could have been far more serious.
"We do not believe that the two girls were the intended targets, they were just at the address enjoying a party. This shows me that those responsible are dangerous and have zero regard for who could have been injured that night.
"Guns have no place on the streets of Manchester and we are determined to bring those responsible for this callous attack to justice. I am appealing to anyone who was in the Moss Side area on Friday 29 of July, between 10pm and 11pm, who may have seen a vehicle being driven erratically to contact us.
