South Africa's Proteas fell agonisingly short of winning the ICC T20 Women's World Cup in a compelling final against reigning champions Australia at Newlands in Cape Town on Sunday.

The moment remained the country's best achievement at an ICC World Cup tournament after Sune Luus' women became the first South African team to make a senior World Cup final.
