Philippe Coutinho hints at Aston Villa transfer stance as Barcelona loanee makes ‘brilliant’ admission
Philippe Coutinho revealed to feeling "very happy" since his arrival at Aston Villa following his loan switch from Barcelona, last month.
The Brazilian playmaker who arrived at B6 on a six-month loan, has enjoyed a breath of fresh air after enduring a tough spell with the Spanish giants.
In his four year connection with Barcelona, the 29-year-old made less than 100 appearances.
But since being coached under his former Liverpool teammate Steve Gerrard, it is fair to say that all is behind him now as he looks a transformed player.
He has begun life at Villa well with two goals and as many assists in six games, and starting in five of those.
"I am very happy," told ESPN Brazil in an interview. "It was my wish to return to play in England and play in the Premier League again. I'm glad I'm having this opportunity and I'm very happy.
"I work hard every day to play well and contribute with good results for the club I play for. And of course, I really wanted to return to the Premier League, I am at a brilliant club that makes me very happy.
"All the players give their best so that we can achieve our goals as a team. I always work to make things work out. What I want most is to be physically well for the team I'm playing for.
"But sometimes that doesn't happen and there's no way to explain it."
Coutinho is out of contract at the end of the season and the Villans have the option to land the Barca man on a permanent deal for £33million.
