Philippe Clement seeks Rangers remedy for 'moments of frustration' as revamp clues hiding in plain sight

Philippe Clement says it's plain for all to see there are things for him to improve at Rangers - otherwise he wouldn't be in the job.

And while he wasn't giving too much away on the specifics of what needs done, one comment from James Bisgrove hints he'll be given the green light to tear up the status quo...as much as he feels he needs to. Clement and Bisgrove addressed the media at the new manager's unveiling and the Belgian made an immediate impression. He stressed a desire not to give "too much away" to the opposition and insisted he hadn't seen enough of the squad yet to make a firm decision over who will start against Hibs this weekend.

CEO Bisgrove said the 'first step' for the new boss is to analyse the squad before making his pitch to the board over what needs to change. He said: "The first step is for Philippe to assess the current squad. He'll give that to the board and then they will be receptive over any improvements he feels are required. The standard is very high and that's why he's here. His voice will be strong and the board will be receptive."

And while Clement wasn't outwardly forthcoming with his early thoughts on how to improve things, you didn't have to dig too deep into his words though to pinpoint a few of them. He pointed out there were 'moments of frustration' in games he'd watched where his players started to 'do the wrong things.' He outlined a system where there's fluidity in positions and admits that may take time to come.

He also spoke of a desire to 'create more winners,' while he wasn't shy at calling out Cyriel Dessers whose form hasn't been anywhere near what it was when Clement had a close eye on him in Belgium. There are four starting points and thrown that in with his 'four pillars'
