Rangers boss Philippe Clement insists he isn't backed by the cash-rich San Francisco 49ers that is rapidly gathering pace.

Record Sport revealed in a mammoth exclusive that Paraag Marathe and the 49ers are behind a move to takeover Rangers after a US-based consortium held secret discussions stretching beyond the turn of the year.
