PGA Tour 2K23: Can you use the analogue sticks to swing the club?

PGA Tour 2K23 is set to release later this year, offering players the chance to hit the links and start sinking putts and driving fairways.

The new game is being fronted by the legendary Tiger Woods, giving players a major throwback to games from the early 2000s.

There are three editions of PGA Tour 2K23 in total – the Standard Edition, Deluxe Edition, and Tiger Woods Edition.

Buying the latter two will grant players access to the game on October 11, as opposed to October 14, which is the release date of the standard edition.

But there are already some questions over the way the game will actually play.

Old-school PGA Tour games allowed players to use the analogue sticks in order to swing the club, with the swinging back of the club echoed by the down movement of the stick.

Will the same gameplay system be utilised in PGA Tour 2K23? Let’s take a look…

Yes!

As per 2K’s Clubhouse Report, there is the option to use the analogue sticks should you so wish, but there is an alternative control scheme too.

You can also use a triple-click system, which will offer you the chance to press the X or A button to determine things like power and the path of the swing.

The Clubhouse Report reads: “Crushing a drive off the tee box always starts with a confident approach. Before you even grip the club, you need to feel comfortable with your setup, which is why we’re giving you the option to choose between the standard analog swing stick swing and the new 3-Click swing in PGA TOUR 2K23.

“If you’re looking for a swing that mirrors a traditional real-life golf movement, the analog swing stick swing should be a good fit for you. To begin the motion, pull straight back on the analog stick and time your push forward as the power meter reaches
