Pervert filmed men urinating and 'performing sex acts' in public toilets and sent child abuse images to his partner

A Warrington man who filmed men urinating and engaging in sexual acts in public toilets and sent images of child abuse to his partner via WhatsApp has been exposed.

Axel Savage's vile collection of indecent images was unearthed due to his activity on Snapchat. At Liverpool Crown Court, the chemist was told that he had "perpetuated a market" for the sexual abuse of children.

The court heard on Wednesday (July 3) how police were tipped off that an indecent image in category A - depicting the most severe forms of abuse - had been uploaded from the 30-year-old's Snapchat account on September 3, 2022. Following this, a search warrant was executed at Savage's residence on February 10, 2023, resulting in the seizure of his mobile phone, reports Cheshire Live.

Prosecuting, Ken Grant said that while Savage remained silent during a police interview, he did provide his phone's pin number. Two category A images, three photographs, and four videos in category B were found on his device.

Savage, of Fordington Road in Hood Manor, Warrington, had also been found to send single category A images to his partner via WhatsApp on January 26, 2022, and June 3, 2022. He also sent two category B images on the latter date and one more on May 2, 2022.

Officers also discovered 282 images taken in a public bathroom on January 31 and February 2 of the previous year. Of these, 233 showed men urinating, 35 were taken under the doors and walls of stalls, and 15 depicted males performing sexual acts.

Jim Smith, the defence lawyer, addressed the court stating: "What he has done, he is ashamed of. He has suffered a great deal for his wrongdoing already.
