Perbasi Urges Nat'l Team to Optimize 3x3 ABL Tournament to Prepare for SEA Games

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Indonesian Basketball Association (Perbasi) urged the 3x3 basketball national team to optimize its participation in the 2022 ASEAN Basketball League (ABL) 3x3 International Champions Cup to prepare for the 31st Hanoi SEA Games.

Secretary General of Perbasi Nirmala Dewi expected that the Indonesian athletes’ teamwork can be improved through the ABL tournament to be held on April 16-17, 2022, in Bali Province.

"We hope that the 3x3 basketball national team would optimize the event to enhance the chemistry between the players. With strong teamwork, I am sure we will get the best result at the SEA Games," Dewi noted in a press release on Saturday.

Indonesia Patriots A comprises Jamarr Andre Johnson, Oki Wira Sanjaya, Surliyadin, and Sandy.

Meanwhile, Dame Diagne, Kevin Moses, Nickson Gosal, Serigne Modou Kane, and Jullian Alexandre Chalias are the players included in Indonesia Patriots B.

Indonesia Patriots A will compete in Group D with Zamboanga Valiantes from the Philippines and SniperX from Thailand.

In Group B, Indonesia Patriots B will face Shoot It Dragons (Thailand), Saigon Heat (Vietnam), and Harimau Malaya (Malaysia) in Group B.

Furthermore, 3x3 basketball national team manager Ferri Jufry also expects that the championship can provide a valuable experience for the players before competing in the 31st Hanoi SEA Games.
