Pep Guardiola tells Man City squad to forget Arsenal win and sets Nottingham Forest challenge

Pep Guardiola wants his Manchester City players to immediately forget their win over Arsenal this week and embark on a run of ten wins.

City beat Arsenal with an impressive performance at the Emirates to leapfrog the Gunners into first place in the Premier League, although the Gunners still have a game in hand. City next travel to Nottingham Forest, and Guardiola says the best way to back up the win at Arsenal is to forget about it completely.

Warning the Blues that Forest will pose a completely different threat to recent games, Guardiola said City must use the momentum of the last two wins to their advantage if they want to mount a serious title challenge.

"Arsenal still have a game in hand, so nothing has changed much," he said.

"They were a lot of points in front now we are back, yes it's a big difference but we are tight, Wednesday is forgotten and we are just thinking about Nottingham Forest,

"Momentum is when you win 10 games in a row and it didn’t happen this season. We lost three games ago at Tottenham. Momentum is tomorrow at 3pm be ready, mentally. A team who’ve lost just one in six.
