Pep Guardiola sent clear Man City message as England switch can't disguise looming problem

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola is approaching the final few months of his contract at the Etihad Stadium and recent links with the vacant England managerial position has done nothing to calm any fears about his future.

The City boss say he still needs time to decide whether or not he wants to extend his stay beyond next summer. Guardiola has won all there is to win during his time in the Etihad dugout, but is yet to commit to a new contract.

There's an expectation that this season may well be his last in Manchester, with supporters clear - they want him to stay. The recent links with the Three Lions role saw further questions come to light before that possibility was shut down as the Football Association moved for Thomas Tuchel.
