Pep Guardiola’s reaction to Mo Salah’s goal vs Man City spotted in new footage

A new angle of Mohamed Salah’s winning goal for Liverpool against Manchester City on Sunday shows Pep Guardiola’s reaction on the touchline.

Salah sealed all three points for the Reds at Anfield thanks to a moment of individual brilliance.

The Egyptian’s run was spotted by goalkeeper Alisson, who picked his Liverpool teammate out with an inch-perfect long-range pass.

Salah then span Joao Cancelo with a wonderful turn before slotting the ball past Ederson.

It was similar to the famous goal Salah scored against Manchester United in January 2020, months before Jurgen Klopp’s men got their hands on the Premier League trophy.

Like that goal, Salah’s latest strike could prove to be a hugely important one.

The Reds climbed out of the bottom half, rising to eighth in the table, and close the gap on second-placed City to 10 points.

Arsenal, meanwhile, have opened up a four-point lead at the top of the league.

Match of the Day 2 showed a new angle of Salah’s latest goal and viewers spotted Guardiola’s reaction on the touchline.

The City boss spotted what was about to unfold. As soon as Alisson got the ball and Salah raised his hand, Guardiola highlighted the danger.

The revered Catalan coach then held out his arms in bemusement as Salah suddenly found himself one-on-one with Cancelo.

And when Salah span his marker, Guardiola hit the deck. He knew there was only going to be one outcome.

Salah converted the chance, while Liverpool’s defenders sprinted back to congratulate Alisson for his assist.
