Pep Guardiola press conference LIVE Man City injury updates plus Rodri latest and early team news

Hello and welcome to our live coverage of Pep Guardiola's Manchester City press conference ahead of the visit of Everton this weekend.

The Premier League returns and City will hope to build on the momentum they found between the September and October international breaks where they went seven games unbeaten in all competitions.

The Blues have moved up to fifth spot in the table and within striking distance of leaders Arsenal.

Guardiola will provide a team news update today. Rodri was not seen in training this week and could be a doubt for tomorrow's game, while it remains to be seen whether Abdukodir Khusanov and Rayan Ait-Nouri will be available.

The Etihad chief will also be asked about Jack Grealish, who can't figure against his parent club when Everton come to town but has impressed since moving from Manchester to Merseyside.

Rodri faces a battle to be fit for City's Premier League clash with Everton on Saturday after the midfielder missed training on Thursday.

The Spaniard limped out of the win at Brentford before the international break after picking up a muscle injury. He withdrew from the Spain squad but then said he expected to be fit to face the Toffees.

But he wasn't seen as City trained in front of the cameras on Thursday, two days before the Premier League returns and the Etihad fixture against David Moyes's side.

Abdukodir Khusanov was also absent from the session. The 21-year-old is continuing to recover from an ankle injury that has kept him out of action since the draw with Arsenal on September 21.

There was some good news for Pep Guardiola, however, with Rayan Ait-Nouri and Omar Marmoush
