Pep Guardiola press conference LIVE Man City team news vs Brighton in Premier League

Manchester City have two Premier League games to rest and rotate players ahead of the FA Cup and Champions League finals.

City were crowned Premier League champions at the weekend before taking on Chelsea, after Arsenal lost to Nottingham Forest, and they used that Chelsea fixture to make a number of changes to their side.

Pep Guardiola rested the likes of Ederson, John Stones, Ruben Dias, Rodri, Ilkay Gundogan, Kevin De Bruyne, Jack Grealish and Erling Haaland, and could take a similar approach at Brighton. Alternatively, Guardiola has said the best way to go into the two huge finals coming up is to keep up the 12-game winning run in the league, and maintain the 24-game unbeaten run in all competitions.

So maybe Guardiola could go strong against Brighton - and at Brentford at the weekend - in order to best prepare City for the finals against Manchester United and Inter Milan.
