Pep Guardiola press conference live Erling Haaland injury latest and early Man City team news

Pep Guardiola is due to speak with the media this afternoon as Manchester City get ready to welcome Sheffield United to the Etihad Stadium.

City were 3-1 winners against Everton on Wednesday night. Goals from Phil Foden, Julian Alvarez and Portuguese star Bernardo Silva did the damage at Goodison Park after the champions had gone 1-0 down.

Norway striker Erling Haaland was once again absent through injury. Rodri, Kevin De Bruyne and Jeremy Doku are the other City players on the treatment table, and Guardiola will share an update on them when he sits down for his press conference.

It has been an interesting few days when it comes to the Premier League title race, meanwhile, with Arsenal and Tottenham both defeated on Thursday night. West Ham and Brighton got the better of those two respectively as City trail leaders Liverpool by five points with a game in hand.

Score prediction: Manchester City 4-0 Sheffield United

Bernardo Silva admits he would love to return to Benfica later in his career as the City playmaker makes an honest admission over his future. Bernardo has been linked with a switch to Barcelona in recent years.
