Pep Guardiola gives Kevin De Bruyne update as Man City handed FA punishment

Here are your latest Manchester City evening headlines on Friday, February 24.

Guardiola provides double selection update

Kevin De Bruyne is likely to be available for Manchester City in their Premier League trip to Bournemouth on Saturday afternoon, but Aymeric Laporte (illness) is doubtful to feature.

Both missed the Champions League trip to RB Leipzig in midweek, due to illness, and Pep Guardiola couldn't guarantee their availability vs Bournemouth when confirming that news. Speaking ahead of another long trip, Guardiola offered an update on his City squad - including key men De Bruyne and Laporte.

City handed fine after feisty Arsenal meeting

Manchester City and Arsenal have both been slapped with fines by the Football Association (FA) after their players "surrounded the match official" during their Premier League fixture earlier in the month.

The FA issued a statement on Friday, February 24 in relation to those offences from the match on February 15, which the Blues won 3-1 thanks to goals from Jack Grealish, Kevin De Bruyne and Erling Haaland. It comes after the charges were initially announced in the days following the encounter.

City have been fined £75,000, with the FA making reference to incidents which happened the 42nd and 64th minutes. The Gunners, meanwhile, have been fined an initial £65,000, plus an additional £20,000, as that figure had been suspended in relation to a previous charge from Arsenal's FA Cup win over Oxford United.
