Pep Guardiola faces difficult challenge at Man City this season

Manchester City under Pep Guardiola have been known for being relentless in their pursuit of glory.

City have won three Premier League titles on the spin and have won six league titles in the last decade. They also won four league cups in a row between 2018 and 2021. However, Guardiola’s ability to motivate his side to go again in the quest for will be tested like never before in this season’s Champions League.

In previous years, Guardiola and City have had something of a chip on their shoulder when it came to winning the famous European trophy, now that they have finally won the trophy there may be less of a fire in the bellies of the players and manager. Currently, Guardiola’s contract at Manchester City runs out in 2025, giving him just this season and the next at the Citizens if he is not to sign another deal.
