Pep Guardiola explains how Man City have hit top form in Treble chase

Pep Guardiola believes that Manchester City have reacted to the stakes being higher in the last few months.

The reigning Premier League champions still trail Arsenal by six points but their best form of the season - 11 wins and two draws from their last 13 games - sees them in with a shot of winning the Treble.

Victory over Leicester will take them to within three points of top spot ahead of matches in the Champions League and FA Cup, and Guardiola expects the same mentality from his players. If they are not at their best on Saturday, they risk missing out on silverware.

"We are winning games and games that we could not do during the season, where we played really good games but we were not consistent," he said.

"Everybody knows that if we lose games we lose competitions. That's why our attention to detail is higher.

"It's the same tomorrow - if we lose the game, we will not be champions. If we win, we still can be. We are six points behind Arsenal, who have dropped few points and have one game a week. With a lot of time for recovery and analysis to prepare the games, it will be so difficult for them to drop points. That's why you have to be there as much as possible.

"Everybody knows in their body that if we lose it is over. It is the best way to compete. Every action and set pieces and transitions, every action in football, the players are living because they know they have to win every action because otherwise we are going to lose."
