Paul Scholes shares two Manchester United concerns that everybody is talking about
There are just eight days until the new Premier League season begins.
Manchester United will play in the Community Shield this weekend and have the privilege of opening the league campaign when welcoming Fulham to Old Trafford on August 16. Are United prepared for the new season? The jury is out.
Joshua Zirkzee is yet to feature in a pre-season friendly and Erik ten Hag has suggested he could be eased into action, while Leny Yoro fractured his metatarsal against Arsenal in Los Angeles and has been ruled out for three months. Rasmus Hojlund will be unavailable for the first few weeks of the campaign due to a hamstring injury but, on the bright side, Lisandro Martinez and Luke Shaw are back at full fitness.

Martinez began the FA Cup final but hasn't started alongside Shaw since February 4, so it will be a huge boost to see the pair rekindle their relationship on the left side of the defence.
It's going to be fascinating to see how United fare this season. As things stand, they have made just two new signings and the squad is arguably weaker than it was - Raphael Varane has left and his replacement is injured - but Shaw is fit again and Marcus Rashford could get back to his best. The summer window shuts in 23 days and more incoming and outgoings are guaranteed, but concerns from supporters are understandable as the transfer deadline looms closer.
Those fears don't exclusively belong to fans. Paul Scholes shares them, as he explained this week on The Overlap. “Manchester United are talking about bringing players in who can’t get in their (current) team," Scholes said
