Paul Pogba transfer latest - Man Utd return hint amid cryptic update and Greenwood reunion hope
Former Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba looks set for a defining few months before choosing his next club. The France international departed Juventus back in November despite having his four-year ban reduced following an appeal after testing positive for the banned substance DHEA.
Pogba can now return to football in March and transfer links to a number of clubs, including his old team, have come to light. French outfit Marseille, which is currently where his ex teammate Mason Greenwood is playing, are also seemingly interested in a move.
Though the January transfer window closes on Monday, February 3, as a free agent, Pogba can move outside of the window with it likely he will be back playing in just over four weeks. With that being said, MEN Sport has taken a look at the latest transfer rumours surrounding Pogba.
Greenwood recently spoke about the 31-year-old, seemingly giving Marseille boss Roberto De Zerbi the green light to sign him.
"He's a great man, professional, who has taken me under his wing," the winger told Telefoot. He's a top player. Any team in Europe would love to have him. If he came here it would be great."
Following that message from Greenwood, Pogba posted a cryptic update to his social media. On his Instagram stories,he uploaded a photo of himself overlooking a pleasant scenery from a skyscraper with the caption: "Let's see what's coming..."
Exactly where Pogba is located is rather unclear but the impressive view would suggest he is not in England.
Given the fact Cristiano Ronaldo sealed a sensational return to Man United, there is a scenario where Pogba could be back at Old Trafford.
The chances of that actually happening, while slim, may well have been given the green light by Pogba
