Paul Pogba receives PSG transfer offer as Wayne Rooney shares Manchester United verdict

PSG submit offer to Pogba

Paris Saint-Germain have made an offer to Paul Pogba as he prepares to leave Old Trafford this summer. The terms are understood to be lower than the final package United laid on the table for Pogba in a vain attempt to convince the midfielder to stay at the club.

The 29-year-old is open to joining PSG, but is understood to prefer a return to Juventus. Interest from Real Madrid has, meanwhile, subsided ever since former manager Zinedine Zidane left the Santiago Bernabeu last season. PSG signed Gianluigi Donnarumma, Sergio Ramos, Georginio Wijnaldum and seven-time Ballon d'Or winner Lionel Messi when their deals expired last summer.

Rooney issues United verdict

Wayne Rooney suggests United have struggled this season because they play as individuals rather than as a team. It's been a hugely disappointing season at Old Trafford for Rooney's former side, with United now facing a battle to finish in the top-four ahead of their fellow contenders Tottenham, Arsenal and West Ham.

A heavy defeat for the Gunners against Crystal Palace on Monday night has given slim hope that United could still finish fourth, despite dropping more points at home to Leicester on Saturday. Rooney addressed his former side in a special guest appearance on Sky Sports show Monday Night Football.
