Paul Pogba Man United transfer theory emerges as Premier League rival tipped for shock deal
Former Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba should sign for Premier League rivals Fulham. That is the verdict of Ryan Babel, who has urged the Frenchman to snub a return to United in favour of a move to a club where the "pressure is not as high" with Marco Silva's Cottagers named as potential destination.
Pogba has not played a competitive minute of first-team football since August 2023 after failing a doping test. He was subsequently handed a four-year ban which looked like it would end his professional playing career. However, following an appeal, the ban has since been reduced to 18 months. It means that Pogba is free to resume training in January and make his return to competitive action in March.
There was hope from Pogba's camp that he could resume his career at Juventus, but the Serie A club have decided to terminate his contract by mutual consent, meaning he is now a free agent. Rumours have circulated over a shock move back to United for a third time, while Arsenal are among the others that have been linked with a move for Pogba, who is set to play in a friendly match in Dubai on Saturday.

But now, Babel has delivered his opinion on where Pogba's future should lie and has suggested Fulham as a team that the 31-year-old should look at signing for. The Whites have had a mixed start to the season and sit ninth, two points above United in the Premier League table right now.
