Paul Pogba is a flop who should be embarrassed, says former Manchester United star

Paul Pogba has been labelled an ‘inconsistent flop’ by former Manchester United star Paul Parker, who says the Frenchman should feel embarrassed by his second spell with the club.

Pogba is expected to leave the club for a second time at the end of this season when his contract expires, and it looks likely to be a very tame finale for his time as a Red Devil.

United limped out of the Champions League on Tuesday night after defeat by Atletico Madrid at the last 16 stage, and now their only real goal left for the season is to pinch fourth place in the Premier League.

Pogba re-signed for Manchester United for a then-world record £89.3m from Juventus in 2016, but has rarely lived up to that huge price tag, with Parker feeling that the Frenchman has been a serious disappointment.

‘He’s been a flop. An inconsistent flop,’ Parker told MyBettingSites. ‘There’s been good games, I don’t think there’s been very, very good games, I don’t think there’s been outstanding games.

‘When you look at a player with that pedigree, what he costs, he’s a World Cup winner – he hasn’t done himself any justice at all, for that.

‘If I was him, if you could look at yourself, you’d be a little bit embarrassed. You’ve come to a great club like Man Utd and you haven’t delivered.”

‘You can use all the excuses you want, about it, the ability is with you and what you’ve got to do is show your ability. And if you’re not showing your ability then everyone will then be looking at everything else around you.”

‘They haven’t done that. People have been looking at him because he’s been so poor. He’s been scrutinised because of being so poor.’
