Paul Pogba agreed personal terms with Manchester City, but opted to reject the move after fearing his life in the North-West would become 'unbearable', as per a recent report.

Just two weeks ago, multiple reports were claiming the Manchester United midfielder was a serious target for Pep Guardiola and City to replace the departing club captain, Fernandinho. However, after giving the offer careful consideration, he has seemingly decided to play his football elsewhere.

Now, according to Pol Ballus and Paul Hirst at the Times, Pogba did agree personal terms with City, but turned down the move due to fear of the backlash from Manchester United supporters. The midfielder feared living in the North West would become unbearable and turned down the proposal from City, who were reportedly willing to meet the player's wage demands and give him the chance to compete amongst the already star-studded squad.

Elsewhere, Goal in Brazil have reported Arsenal's failure to qualify for the Champions League would be a negative factor in their pursuit of Gabriel Jesus - but not a fatal blow.
