Paul Ince's message to Tyrese Fornah ahead of his debut Reading season in the Championship

Reading summer signing Tyrese Fornah has said manager Paul Ince and assistant Alex Rae are always giving him feedback as he settles into life at the club.

The on-loan Nottingham Forest midfielder is on a season-long deal and has previously spent time in League One with Plymouth Argyle and more recently Shrewsbury Town. The 2022/23 campaign will be his first at Championship level and for the player, the challenge is something he is looking forward to as he believes he can make the step up.

Speaking about the messages he is receiving from the Reading coaching staff in training and prior to matches, Fornah has said that Rae and Ince are always on to him but that he takes their feedback constructively and revealed that the manager is telling him to 'enjoy' himself.

“I’ve really enjoyed it so far," Fornah told the club's official website. "Alex Rae and the gaffer are always onto me – in a good way! And I take it constructively and learn. I am only 22, so I’m still young, but I believe in myself and I know what I can bring to the team. It is about learning the other side of the game, with the intensity of the Championship. And I believe I am in good hands – and I am really confident, looking towards the start of the season.

“All the boys here have all been fantastic with me. I am really happy, and I’m looking forward to sharing my experience with them out on the pitch – and hopefully we do big things this season. The gaffer says to me every time I go out, ‘just enjoy it’. Sometimes players make mistakes and that’s normal, but you’ve got to enjoy the process.
