Paul Heckingbottom preparing to unleash exciting Sheffield United trio to take division by storm

Man City youngster James McAtee gave a glimpse of his talent on Wednesday night during the 2-1 win over Sunderland. The 19-year-old is the only one of the new attacking-minded signings to feature from the beginning in a league match.

Tommy Doyle has been denied a Championship appearance to date after spending much of pre-season injured, while Reda Khadra has had to make do with two cameos from the bench.

The German's 24-minute outing in midweek whet the appetite for what's to come from the exciting winger, who has signed on a season-long loan from Brighton with options to turn the deal into a permanent move at the end of the season.

Manager Paul Heckingbottom has been reluctant to place too much pressure and responsibility on their shoulders so soon into the season, with a need to make sure they are fully up to speed with how Sheffield United play with and without the ball and their responsibilities on both occasions.

There is no doubt that once in this position, Heckingbottom will have one of the best midfield and forward departments in the division and once that trust in his new signings is there, he will unleash the trio more.

"It's exactly that [trust], but that's not down to them it's on us to get them there and give them opportunities and be patient and push," he told Yorkshire Live.

"What they have got is something different as well and we want those moments. I don't want to say 'you must do this' and scare them to death about their role without the ball and we don't see anything of them on the ball or the pace of Khadra running in behind or his one v one moments and he loses the ball and becomes scared to take players on.
