Patrick Vieira's Arsenal and Man City history is good news for Crystal Palace's FA Cup run

Patrick Vieira isn’t fond of talking to his Crystal Palace players about his own career but with the Eagles potentially just 90 minutes from Wembley tales of his past might serve as motivation.

After all, the Frenchman is currently on an in the FA Cup stretching all the way back to 2005.

Vieira has won the prestigious trophy on five occasions - four with Arsenal and once with Manchester City, with only Ashley Cole (seven titles) having won the competition more times than him.

His most recent title came in 2011 as he came on as a late substitute for City against Stoke at Wembley in what turned out to be his final game as a player before hanging up his boots.

A decade later and now trying his hand at Premier League management, Vieira has won his first three games in the FA Cup in charge of Crystal Palace.

Below, we’ve gone through the highlights of Vieira’s current 18-game unbeaten run in the competition that includes two winners’ medals and some iconic FA Cup moments.

The spot-kick put Arsenal on their way to victory in the 53rd minute, with Freddie Ljungberg making sure of the win with ten minutes to play as it finished 2-0.
