“I was fortunate to be part of the generation, in 1998, that won the World Cup. It was in France and that was the icing on the cake.

“It was complicated there was a lot of racism going around at the time and to win that World Cup with the diversity that we had in the team showed what France was all about. It was bigger than football.'”
