Patrick Mullins takes win for father Willie in Randox Grand National
Nick Rockett has won Saturday afternoon's Randox Grand National in Aintree.
It was a one-two-three for winning trainer Willie Mullins with 2024 champion I Am Maximus and Grangeclare West in second and third.
Ridden by the trainer’s son, Patrick, the 33-1 shot Nick Rockett proved too strong for stablemate and defending champion I Am Maximus in the four-and-a-quarter-mile showpiece, The Irish Times reported.
Grangeclare West took third to round out a clean sweep of the podium places for the Closutton team.
