Manchester City could move to the summit before they kick a ball however with Pep Guardiola’s side hosting Southampton on Saturday afternoon – with Erling Haaland chasing a fourth consecutive Premier League hat-trick.

Diego Costa makes his return to Stamford Bridge as Chelsea host Wolves at Stamford Bridge while Manchester United will look to bounce back away to Everton with Frank Lampard’s side boasting the best defensive record in the league.

Newcastle had a great result last time, even though they were playing against ten men. I think they will destroy Brentford too, they will be full of confidence after that win and they will want to keep the goals coming. Prediction 2-0.

I questioned if the players were behind the manager and they proved they are and they still believe in him last time out. Leicester can kick on now. Prediction 1-2.
