Parklife 2024: Hour-by-hour weather forecast for Heaton Park on Sunday

The first day of Parklife started with a short dramatic outpouring of rain just as the gates opened. But, much to the relief of the tens of thousands of people who descended on Heaton Park yesterday (June 8), the sun was out for much of the day keeping spirits high.

Today (June 9), will see the likes of Doja Cat, Kaytranada and 4AM KRU take to multiple stages spread around the Manchester park. Around 80,000 revellers are expected to attend the two-day music festival - and they will be hoping for plenty of sunshine again.

It comes after the festival saw partying coming to a standstill and the music stopped completely last year as huge thunderstorms rolled across the sky. Saturday (June 8) was not a scorcher as some ticket holders would have hoped for, but it stayed largely dry.

However, Sunday's weather is not set to be as sunny as the day before. Heavy rain is expected as the gates reopen for a 12pm start.

The rain should subside soon though, but the weather will remain overcast and cloudy with a chance of some rain throughout the day. Temperatures will start at 11°, peaking at 12° between 3pm and 7pm and dropping to 10° by the end of the night, hitting 9° at midnight.

Heavy rain is forecast again at 10pm and is expected to continue following the curfew with a 90% chance of rain as the festival comes to a close. Here is the full hour-by-hour weather forecast for Prestwich on Sunday (June 9), according to the Met Office website.
