Paris St-Germain ‘leading race’ to sign Man Utd, Liverpool target

Paris Saint-Germain are ‘leading the charge’ to sign Ajax winger Antony, with Man Utd and Liverpool also interested, according to reports.

The Brazilian international is under contract at the Johan Cruijff ArenA until 2025 and is valued at £31.5m, as per Transfermarkt.

Manchester United finally put women front and central

He has been in terrific form for the Eredivisie side this season, scoring 12 and assisting ten in 33 matches across all competitions.

Antony has been linked with a move to Man Utd, with the Old Trafford club also eyeing up Ajax manager Erik ten Hag.

Earlier this week, it was reported that Ten Hag wants to bring the 22-year-old to Manchester if he replaces Ralf Rangnick at the end of the season.

Liverpool are also interested with Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino all out of contract in less than 18 months.

However, Le10Sport (via Caught Offside) claim that Paris St-Germain have ‘upper their pursuit’ in recent weeks and are now ‘leading the charge’ to sign the Brazil star.

They claim that Barcelona and Bayern Munich are also eyeing up a move for Antony.

Meanwhile, Man Utd will take on arch-rivals Liverpool in a pre-season friendly in Bangkok, Thailand in July, the Red Devils have confirmed.

The Manchester club will visit the Thai capital for the first time since 2013 when they face the Reds on July 12.

They will then travel to Melbourne, visiting the Australian city for the first time in 23 years. On July 15, Man Utd will face Melbourne Victory before an encounter against Premier League rivals Crystal Palace on July 19.
