Paris Fury gives update on Tyson Fury retirement amid £500m admission

Paris Fury has once again doubted whether her husband Tyson will remain retired after admitting he'd be tempted to return for a bout for a large sum of money. Paris has previously revealed that the one fight that would bring Tyson Fury out of retirement would be a unification bout.

But whilst Fury has reiterated that he does believe he is retired, he has also stated that he would reverse his decision to retire and stated that he will return to the ring if the right opportunity comes up.

Fury has claimed that his win over Dillian Whyte would be his final bout, and he would hang up his gloves at the age of just 33. However, he has not yet surrendered his belts and is still officially heavyweight champion.

The fight was a stunning all-round display from Fury, who kept Dillian Whyte in his range as he worked his jab, before flooring his opponent with a swift and stunning knockout in the sixth round. Speaking to talkSPORT he would confirm his retirement, before reaffirming this with the media afterwards.

But Fury's wife has once again doubted that he will remain retired.

Speaking to Piers Morgan on his tv show, she said: “I'd like him to retire. But there's something in the back of my mind saying he's itching for another fight. It's there - woman's instinct, there's something still calling him out there.

"As the wife, I just look and wonder ‘are you done?’ I hope he is. I hope he chooses another path but honestly, I think there is a question mark there.

"After the first fight with Deontay Wilder I begged him not to fight again. And then he fought again and now he's saying he’s quit again. I just don’t think it's the end. I just wonder. You never know, we’ll wait and see.”
