Paris-bound Simone Biles wins US Olympic trials
Simone Biles clinched a return to the Olympic Games as she comfortably won the US Olympic trials on Sunday.
The 2016 Olympic all-round champion, 27, withdrew midway through the Tokyo Games three years ago to prioritise her mental health after suffering what she dubbed "the twisties" during mid-air turns.
Since returning to competition last year, she has added a sixth world all-around title and claimed the sole automatic spot on the five-strong US team.
Despite several errors, she comfortably topped the standings in the two-day competition in Minneapolis.
Reigning Olympic all-around champion Sunisa Lee, Tokyo floor champion Jade Carey and fellow Olympic medallist Jordan Chiles completed the top four and were joined in the team by 16-year-old Hezley Rivera.
