Paris 2024: Irish in action on Day 5 of Paralympics

After Para cyclist Katie-George Dunlevy and pilot Eve McCrystal secured a second medal of the 2024 Paralympic Games for Team Ireland on Sunday, here's what Day 5 has in store.

Deaten Registe is in the pool as he looks to make the 100m breaststroke final. The Lisburn swimmer is in the second heat of the SB14 division and will start from lane six. There are nine contenders spread over the two heats and, with eight to make the final, Registe will fancy his chances.

On the para-athletic track, Shauna Bocquet takes part in the 1500m at the T54 grade where she'll race in Heat 2. The first five in each heat will qadvance to the final. The Galway woman's challenge gets underway around 10.35am.

The delayed triathlon takes place on Monday (water permitting) which will see twin sisters Chloe and Judith MacCombe finally get their paralympics underway. They both compete at the PTVI3 level. The event was postponed yesterday after the water in the River Seine was deemed too polluted.

In the women's PTS4 grade, Cassie Cava will also make her belated Paris 2024 bow. Again, depending on the conditions in the Seine.

Back indoors, Colin Judge faces China's Penfeng Feng in the men's table tennis singles MS3 round of 16 from 12.45pm.
