Paratici now offers Spurs pre-contract to 'extraordinary' ace with two big financial incentives

Tottenham have presented a ‘very powerful offer’ to AC Milan midfielder Franck Kessie, according to Sport.

Spurs have been after the midfielder for some time and made a move to bring the Ivorian to north London in January.

Antonio Conte gave the green light to a deal way back in November, however, Kessie turned down the chance to move to Tottenham as he wanted to see out the remainder of his contract with the Serie A giants.

Despite last month’s rejection, Fabio Paratici and co haven’t given up on bringing the 25-year-old, called ‘extraordinary‘ by ESPN pundit Nicky Bandini, to the club in the summer when he looks likely to be a free agent.

According to Spanish outlet Sport, Tottenham have presented Kessie with a ‘very powerful offer’ and could end up winning the race for his services.

The report adds that Spurs have included ‘a high salary and transfer bonus’ in their proposal for Kessie, who Paratici knows ‘very well’.

Hopefully, Kessie’s only reasoning for snubbing a move to Spurs last month was due to his commitment to Milan in their bid to win the Serie A title this season, meaning he will be happy to join the Lilywhites come the summer.

We will see over the coming months if that is the case or if the central midfielder has serious doubts over a move to north London entirely and either extends his stay at the San Siro or moves somewhere else.

It seems as if Spurs have done all they can for now by offering Kessie a ‘high salary and transfer bonus’, so the club may now have to play the waiting game ahead of the summer as they look to sign a £43.2m-rated midfielder for nothing.

In other news: Spurs now keen on 6 ft 4 English defender with ‘every attribute’; Levy needs to act fast.
