Paramount+ viewers say the same thing about major video game series as it's cancelled after two seasons

Halo enthusiasts are united in their approval of Paramount+'s decision to conclude the much-anticipated video game adaptation after its second season.

The sci-fi series, inspired by the beloved Xbox franchise, had been in the pipeline for years before creators Kyle Killen and Steven Kane brought it to life on the streaming service, featuring Pablo Schreiber as the legendary Master Chief.

Yet, the TV show's direction left many diehard video game fans underwhelmed.

Halo purists have expressed dissatisfaction with significant deviations from the original game narrative, and some newly introduced characters created specifically for the show were met with mixed reviews.

Paramount+ has now announced that the show will not be returning for a third season on their platform, although TVLine has reported that Amblin Television, along with Xbox and 343 Industries, are looking to find a new home for the series.

Despite a somewhat improved reception to its sophomore season, the consensus among Halo viewers appears to be in favour of the cancellation.

A scathing remark from one Reddit user read: "Good. Every episode felt like it was written by a schizophrenic experiencing a near life ending fever dream."

Another fan commented with heavy irony: "What the Halo show not about Halo got cancelled? Shocking."

"Good. The show was hilariously bad," chimed in another.

Meanwhile, a post on X (formerly known as Twitter) stated: "I'm so glad the show got canceled because halo deserves so much better than this piece of s**t."
