Padraig Harrington ties lead in three-in-a-row bid in New York
Padraig Harrington birdied the final three holes of his third round to grab a share of the lead as he seeks to complete a three in a row at the Dick's Sporting Goods Open in New York.
The Dubliner came home in 30 strokes, shooting an overall 65 to join Stephen Ames and Ken Tanigawa at the top of the leaderboard at 11-under par.
In a clustered pack at the top, only three strokes separate the top 13 players, with Mike Weir, Miguel Angel Jimenez, Billy Andrade and Bob Estes among the chasing pack.
Harrington, who was inducted into the World Golf Hall of Fame this month, is aiming for a third successive victory in the event, having pipped Joe Durrant by a stroke to make it two-in-a-row last summer.
He has one victory on the Champions Tour this season, winning the Hoag Classic in California in March.
