Pádraig Harrington seals three-in-a-row triumph in New York
Pádraig Harrington carded a final-round 68 to win the Dick's Sporting Goods Open in New York for the third year in a row.
The three-time major winner had gone into the fourth round in a share of the lead after he birdied the final three holes on Saturday.
The Dubliner carried that good form into Sunday's tournament climax with a four-under round pushing him to 15 under overall, one shot clear of Canada's Mike Weir.
It's a second win on the Champions Tour this season for the 52-year-old who was inducted into the World Golf Hall of Fame earlier this month.
"I can't be more overjoyed. It's been a great week here, everybody's looked after us," he said after his win, before quipping, "They've renewed for five years so I have the opportunity to go eight in a row. Let's see how we get on."
