Padraig Harrington leads by three strokes at the halfway point at the Senior PGA Championship after the bogey-free second round at PGA Frisco in Texas.Leading by two overnight after breaking the course record on Thursday, the Dubliner had a rather less spectacular Day 2 though still posted an impressive round of 68 to extend his lead heading into the weekend.Beginning on the 10th, Harrington reached the turn in 33, with birdies arriving on 14, 15 and 18.
The back nine was a more low-key affair, consisting of eight successive pars and a solitary birdie at 9 to leave him at 12-under par.His blemish free opening 36 holes leaves three clear of Japan's Katsumasa Miyamoto in second place, with former British Open champion Stewart Cink and Harrington's 2021 Ryder Cup opposite number Steve Stricker a shot further back on eight-under.Harrington is seeking his second senior major title, having won the US Senior Open by a stroke from Stricker in Saucon Valley last summer.
