Paddy McGuinness takes his Bolton mates for “posh meal” at Manchester restaurant and Mo Farah was there too

In an early festive knees up, Bolton comedian Paddy McGuiness has shared pictures from a "posh" Christmas meal with mates at one of Manchester's top restaurants. The Boltonian shared snaps of himself and a group of friends enjoying a slap up meal and cocktails inside The Ivy in Spinningfields.

Sharing the snaps of the meet-up on Instagram, Paddy explained that he gets his friends together every year for, having worked with some of them at Warburtons back in the 90s. The post prompted a number of comments with people also sharing their memories of Paddy working at the bakery in Bolton.

Their festive get-together featured a variety of festive cocktails including torched tipples and glowing drinks, with Paddy wishing his friends a Merry Christmas. Their trip to The Ivy also featured Olympic gold medallist Sir Mo Farah, who posed with the group for a quick picture.

Taking to Instagram, Paddy captioned his post: "Every Christmas I get my auld Bolton pals out for a powsh meal. I worked at Warburtons with a couple of them in the 90’s!

"Touch of class from @sirmofarah who took time out to say hello and do pics with the cuddly toys. #christmas."

Fans of the comedy star also took to the comments to wish him and his friends a good holiday, while others shared memories of him working at Warburtons. One said: "Fantastic, with old mates can’t beat it pal."
