Outrageous dummy and try in Welsh student rugby match leaves world stars in awe

You've seen the side-steps, the kick and chase, the raw speed. But what about a try that uses the art of deception to absolute perfection, through a simple dummy? A Welsh Sevens team have done just that.

This score from 'The Cherubs', a team made up of 'ex and current University of South Wales students', is doing the rounds on social media, with the clip collectively being watched more than 170,000 times.

And rugby stars from around the world have been drawn to the video, with the likes of Simon Zebo and Ardie Savea heaping praise on this magnificent piece of trickery from the Welsh side.

After the ruck is formed, Houdini 2.0 begins his magic act. Tom Geere, captain of The Cherubs, shapes his body as if the ball is going to be sprayed back over to the right flank. The opposing players' body language shifts in anticipation of this pass, but the magician does everything but throw the ball.

Using just one hand, the ball comes back into the bread basket, and before you know it, captain Geere has somehow sneaked through a narrow passage, in between his own oblivious team mate, and his opposing player.

The crowd are absolutely loving it as the defending team scramble to catch the slippery escapee, but there is no chance of that now, as he runs in to complete a brilliant score.

'The Rugby Guy', a hugely popular figure in the rugby social media community, jokingly commented, "Disgusting behaviour that should not be tolerated. Minimum 6 week ban for that filth!"

The Cherubs were initially just a men's rugby team, formed back in 2013. However, they have since expanded to women's rugby, hockey and netball. The rugby side do not tend to play full 15-a-side games, despite playing a few exhibition matches, as they mostly take part in
