Outdoor cinema heading to Alderley Park this summer

A new outdoor cinema experience is heading to Alderley Park in Alderley Edge this summer. The Alfresco Cinema Company will be hosting ‘Cinema Under The Stars’ with a circus vibe, returning to the park for the third year running.

They’ll be playing hit Hugh Jackman movie The Greatest Showman, the musical based on the life of PT Barnum. It happens on June 17.

Guests can wander the park and take in the views, with local pop-up food traders providing refreshments for the evening. Doors will open at 8pm, with the movie starting at 9.30pm.

Dan Bourne, of Bruntwood SciTech, which manages the park, said: “We’re delighted to be bringing back Cinema Under the Stars for another year. Alderley Park is a destination for everyone to enjoy and we are excited to bring together our customers, residents and local community this summer. The event will bring something magical and memorable for family and friends and we can’t wait to see it come to life.”

Andrew Mitchell-Stead of The Al Fresco Film Company added: “We can think of no better place to host Cinema Under the Stars than against the stunning backdrop of Alderley Park. With so much natural beauty it will be a wonderful evening and a chance for us to create the extraordinary screening experiences that we are famous for.”
